The three films I've chosen to analyse and compare are:
The Adjustment Bureau (Fantasy)
Reclaim (Thriller)
Furious 7 (Action/Adventure)
Comparison and Analysis of Costume
Similarly, in the movie 'Reclaim', there are no obvious details that hint to the viewer that the movie is a thriller, in regards to the clothes that each character is wearing. This is because each character is dressed quite casually, which is a common costume for various different genres in film. Interestingly, the suspected villain in this clip is also wearing quite casual attire which is unusual because generally, the villain would be dressed in a way suggesting that there is something dodgy about him/her. In this case, however, viewers could envision that the antagonist in this scene is an undercover villain who is trying to look just like everyone else in the scene to, so to speak 'fit in' with the protagonists' casual attire.
In 'Furious 7', the characters seem to be dressed quite casually which allows the audience to understand that they are not prioritising their clothing over the actual event that is taking place. This shows that the situation is more important than their choice of clothing and that viewers shouldn't be as focused on their attire than they should be on the action that is occurring in the scene.
Comparison and Analysis of Lighting
The lighting used in The Adjustment Bureau seems to be top lighting, to draw attention to the characters in a usually dim-light area. This suggests that the movie could be
In 'Reclaim', however, outdoor natural lighting has been used in order to clearly show that the scene has been filmed in an outdoor area. This allows the happenings of the scene to be seen clearly since it is set during the day time. It allows viewers to clearly see facial expressions in order to make interpretations of what is going on in this scene,
Likewise, Furious 7 was also filmed outdoors and therefore was shot in natural outdoor lighting. This gives us a realistic view into what is happening within the scene which allows for the viewers to be sutured into the narrative as it may feel that the viewers feel part of the events occurring in this scene.

Comparison and Analysis of Actors
The actors featured in this scene of The Adjustment Bureau are all male. The suggestive antagonists all have very stern facial expressions which show that they are serious throughout this scene. From their actions, the audience can tell that they are the antagonists since they retaliate whenever the protagonist says or does something that they don't seem to agree with,
Both the protagonists and an antagonist are presented in this extract from Reclaim which allow the viewers to gain a clear distinction between the characters and have a good understanding of what's happening in the scene,
There are a mixture of both protagonists and antagonists in this particular scene of 'Furious 7' who are hastily communicating via walkies talkies which allows the viewers to comprehend that they are on some kind of mission. This reflects the genre of the film very well as action is usually presented in a fast-paced environment, There is also a clear leader in the group who is instructing his team on what they need to do which shows that they are following some kind of plan (something that is usually made when people are taking action.)
Comparison and Analysis of Makeup
From my knowledge, it is common that all movie sets do the characters' makeup regardless of whether they are male or female. However, it's often not visible and usually just a bit of powder would be applied to their faces.
It is quite difficult to tell whether any of the characters are wearing makeup in ‘The Adjustment Bureau’ because of the quite dim lighting. Although as said above, it is likely that all the characters in this scene had powder dusted on their faces to avoid shininess.
In ‘Reclaim’ it appears that none of the characters are wearing makeup, even the female character. In fact the female protagonist appears to look quite run-down which would suggest that she's been through a lot in the past few days and therefore simply has more important things to think about than her makeup.
As I said before, it is common that the characters will have a discrete, minimal amount of makeup. In the case of 'Furious 7', this seems to be true. There is only one female shown in this clip who appears to be wearing little to no makeup. Like the character in Reclaim, she most likely doesn't think that makeup is important of appropriate for the situation that she is in, since she seems more focused on the task at hand.

Comparison and Analysis of Props
A prop that has been used in 'The Adjustment Bureau' is a clamp of some sort which is raised by one of the men in a hat which accurately presents the theme of Fantasy as the man is controlling this clamp without any sort of device. This would suggest he has some sort of special powers, separating him from 'average' human beings. which is not a typical quality of a human being. It could be perceived as being a figure of magic and myth.
In ‘Reclaim,’ the gun in the antagonist's hand is what suggests to the viewers that he is the villain of the film. It also connotes danger and the fact that he uses the gun to harm the protagonist shows that the film is a thriller, especially when the viewers see blood.
The walkie talkies used in Furious 7 represent the communication between the characters which shows that they are coming up with a plan or following a plan. The cars and gadgets used within the cars are being used to get the characters in the right place at the right time. The cars are travelling at a high speed which shows that they've used these cars for a reason (to help with their plan).

Comparison and Analysis of Setting
The setting used in The Adjustment Bureau is a large room containing an abundance of ceiling lights.
A forest is the location of which this scene of Reclaim has been filmed in. Viewers can tell this due to the number of trees surrounding the car. This can suggest the theme of a thriller since a forest is quite a closed off area with connotations of being alone and in danger.
The setting in Furious 7 is an outdoor public road where the characters are all driving at high speeds. This shows that it is an action movie since they are travelling so fast to do what they believe needs to be done.
